FAQ: How your Jake Bannerman/ Horror Ink books are connected:
Thorns
To my devoted readers, social media phantoms, and casual browsers who wander into my web of words, let's clear the fog on something haunting your mind's edges. The crown of thorns that adorns my logo, it's not a beacon for the righteous or a nod to the divine. No, my friends, it's a symbol of suffering, a badge of horror that transcends the earthly bounds of faith.
Horror with Heart is a sanctuary for all souls, regardless of creed or confession. Our crown of thorns is a dark emblem for the theological terrors that I conjure in my tales. It's the anguish of a crown pressed into flesh, the dread of a sacrifice that no one asked for.
So, let it be known, Jake MoMoose Bannermantands not in the light of altars but in the shadows of doubt, weaving stories where theocracy dances with demonology, and divinity bleeds into dystopia. We are united not by faith, but by the fear that grips our hearts and the thrill of the unknown.
Exploring the depths of horror without boundaries or bias.

In "The Harvest," Jake Bannerman takes us on an epic and terrifying journey from Central Park to the chilling landscapes of Finland. A famed spiritual orator foretells Christ's return, only to usher in a shocking fallout of death and devastation. Lucifer rises, not to battle God, but an unlikely foe—Adolf Hitler and his gang of eighteen, souls bartered and unsatisfied.
Against this apocalyptic backdrop, a whirlwind of black magic, sex scandals, and a diabolically intricate murder plot unfolds. This narrative juggernaut will leave you reeling, likened to a relentless onslaught of kicks to the teeth under the heavy overture of death metal.
"Sex, Sin, Satan. Angels and Demons," Bannerman dares to blaspheme while pushing boundaries. "The Harvest" is a brutally graphic exploration of how unchecked desire and insatiable greed can unearth humanity's darkest inclinations. As the lawsuit against Lucifer becomes the centerpiece, everything you've held true will be tested, compelling you to question everything.
"The Harvest" is an unforgettable blend of horror and thriller that rivals the works of Clive Barker and Stephen King. Remember, you reap what you sow. Prepare to reap "The Harvest".
CULT
In 2011, while writing “Pitchfork,” I conceived a story about a false prophet who claimed to be the new savior of the world and amassed a cult following. Concurrently, Jesus, having been exiled from heaven, roamed the earth incognito to observe humanity. Now, as we witness a similar figure with a cult following emerge in reality, I’ve revisited this narrative. Though it’s a brief piece, approximately 1700 words, resembling more of a parable, its relevance to current events is striking. This will be a Horror Ink mailing list exclusive.

Author’s Note: I’ve noticed that on Goodreads, there seems to be a pattern of negative reviews from a single individual. I’m not sure of their identity or the reasons behind their dislike for my work. I’d like to remind everyone to ensure they are purchasing the most recent editions of my books, as I am constantly updating and improving them. The official Horror Ink website is the best place for this, as it’s the only platform I use to keep my content current and release new material. I’ll be honest—my earlier works were not up to the standard I strive for today, but I have learned a great deal since then, and the progression is evident in the reviews. Most importantly, I ask readers to recognize that I am not defined by my books; they are separate from me as a person. At heart, I am simply a storyteller.

900 to 1
When I released "The Pitchfork Diaries", I was buried by critics. However, two stories stood out: "Scarecrows Lament" and "900 to 1." I was genuinely shocked, not by the criticism, but by how well "900 to 1" was received. It's not traditional horror; it's pure Rod Serling worship. But hey, what can I say? He's my hero. Enjoy this one.
