Just because you should know by now, chapter one is not going to be about a specific band hah-ha suckered ya in, did I?
Instead, I want to focus on just songs, songs I heard that
actually kinda freaked me out to songs that actually made me rip apart a
chicken and worship Satan (it’s a joke relax, unless that turns you on, I’m
100% serious lol)
Being raised in the 80’s while songs like “White Rabit” by Jefferson Starship and even “Knights in White Satin” or the ever popular “Stairway to Heaven” or “Hells Bells” by AC/DC nah just didn’t do it. I mean Ozzy was quasi. Spooky with “Bark at the Moon” and “Diary of Madmen” but still did not really spook me. So, when I tell you the first song that kinda creeped me out you are going to say WTF?!?!?!
“Somebody’s watching me” by Rockwell. Yes, I said it.
Dude, are you serious, you’re in the shower and you feel like someone is
watching you? Ok creepapalooza! Just creepy. Kiss never scared me even spitting
blood singing “God of Tunder” Blue Oyster Cult and “Don’t Fear the Reaper” was
just to kick ass to scare me and besides what in the hell is a Blue Oyster
Cult?
As far as Metal goes really again nothing spooked me
“Bastard” by Motley Crue kinda hit me with an evil vibe, and still does. Before
I get to the 2 creepiest songs, I want to bring up an underrated band and an
underrated song.
First the band. Fastway! Yeah, the “Trick or Treat”
soundtrack was fucking killer! Spooky? No but dripping with Halloween and just
horror rock vibes, it just doesn’t get any better. If you’ve not heard of it, I’m
sure you can buy it on cassette for .50 cents at a garage sale near you. And
you should! Now on to an underrated song you may not even know about.
Dangerous Toys more known for other songs including the
ode to Alice Cooper with the song “Scared” on their self titled album but the
song “Demon Bell” from the Shocker soundtrack is a killer horror number!! Check
it out if you’re interested can find it!
So on to my 2 creepiest tracks and an intro.
Creepy song #1 Type O Negative - Black Sabbath from the
Satanic perspective on the first edition of “Nativity in Black” a tribute to
Black Sabbath. If this song doesn’t make your eyes roll back in your head and
make you want to carve s pentagram in your chest while pledging allegiance to
Satan, then you need to be reprogrammed. This song is sweet demonic evil from
Hell and if you want to kill an older religious relative just duct tape earbuds
on them and let it rip!
Creepy Song #2 “Heaven torn Asunder” by Cradle of Filth
Holy vampiric evil Batman I first heard this driving in a
storm driving back to OKC from Dallas, alone! Yeah, I’m not afraid to say as a
thirty something year old guy I was like “oh fuck me Jesus help me!”
Look the world is jaded to horror and these sings may not
affect you like they affect me but pardon my French Goddamn wow the creepiness
is oozing from both of these songs.
Honorable mention Pig Destroyer “Natasha” from the album
“Prowler in the Yard” not a song but a creepy fucking voice telling a story
that is more disturbing than je in a speedo. And the noise effects behind the
voice will make your hair stand up on the back of your neck.
Ok next edition will be about…. You don’t think I’m
actually going to tell you, do you?
Let me know your comments, those thoughts My monsters.
