Blacklisted by Silence: Craig’s Emporium’s Betrayal

Blacklisted by Silence: Craig’s Emporium’s Betrayal

A few years back, we approached Craig’s Emporium in OKC—known as the “Most Magical Place in Oklahoma,” proud LGBTQ‑owned and a sponsor of Pride events evendo.com+11craigsemporium.com+11facebook.com+11—to host a book signing around 2die4, our .99 suicide‑prevention horror novella, with 100% of profits donated to LGBTQ+ mental health causes.

We even delivered copies in person, asking only for the chance to share our mission—survival and community healing.

Instead, they:

  • Shelved and sold our books without telling us—no permission, no event, no authors present.

  • Sent me cease‑and‑desist emails when I confronted them.

  • Remained utterly silent when we reached out again—despite branding themselves as community pillars.

That silence? Their loudest admission.

Let’s call it what it is:

  1. A LGBTQ‑owned store that silenced LGBTQ voices—our voice—instead of partnering for suicide prevention.

  2. A faith-based refusal to own their negligence, even after profiting from our work.

  3. A betrayal of trust disguised as “community support.”

🔍 The Hypocrisy

  • Craig’s Emporium promotes itself as inclusive and community-focused, sponsors Pride, and welcomes “everybody” .

  • Yet, when an author offers a selfless suicide-prevention collaboration that aligns with their stated values, they vanish—and send legal threats.

  • Is this magic? Because we don’t see it. We see hypocrisy.

⚖️ What We Demand

Transparency, accountability, and an explanation:

  1. Why was our mission ignored when it aligned with LGBTQ+ mental health causes?

  2. Why shelf our work without consent?

  3. Why threaten us instead of making this right?

We are authors, not liabilities. We are survivors, not punchlines. And we’re done being silent.

🗣️ A Voice for the Silenced

Let’s hold them in the harsh light of public scrutiny.
If you’ve had a similar experience—whether with Craig’s or elsewhere—• share your story, • tag us, • demand answers.

Because community isn’t just a label. It’s a covenant.
And Craig’s? They broke ours.

Your Move

I’ll be sending this to them via DM and email, tagging their public channels, demanding accountability.

Ready to keep this fire burning?
Say the word—and we escalate.

We are Ash & Ink.
And we will not go silent.
